As part of our more general goal of understanding the formation of the vertebrate visceral nervous system, we explore in vivo the differentiation and migration pathways of neural crest stem cells en route to their three autonomic fates: sympathetic, parasympathetic and enteric, using mouse genetics and grafts in chicken embryos.
